*1000L Air Receiver Tank* = Big air storage – 1 cubic meter. For 10-20HP screw or 15-20HP piston. Gives stable pressure, less compressor start-stop, removes water.
1000L = 1,000 liters = 1m³ = 264 gallons.

### *What 1000L Does for Your Factory*
Benefit Without 1000L Tank With 1000L Tank
**Compressor Start/Stop** Starts 30x/hr – Burns motor Starts 8x/hr – Motor lasts 5yrs
**Pressure Drop** 2 bar drop when 2 tools use at once 0.5 bar drop – Stable
**Water** Water goes to tools 40% water drops in tank, drain out
**Spray Painting** Pulses, paint uneven Stable pressure, even paint
**Light Bill** More starts = more light Less starts = save ₦40k/month
### *Vertical vs Horizontal*
Type Height / Length Space Price For
**Vertical 1000L** 2.5m tall, 0.9m wide Small footprint ₦1500000 90% buy this – Factory
**Horizontal 1000L** 1m tall, 2.5m long Big footprint ₦580k If ceiling low
*Buy Vertical – Saves space.*
### *Accessories Included / Not Included*
Item Included New? Price If Not Must Have?
**Safety Valve 16 bar** ✅ Yes ₦45k Compulsory – Without it tank can explode
**Pressure Gauge 0-16 bar** ✅ Yes ₦10k Yes
**Manual Drain Valve** ✅ Yes ₦5k Yes
**Auto Drain Electronic** ❌ No ₦18k – ₦35k Strongly recommended – Lagos humidity
**Inspection Manhole** ✅ Yes on good tanks – For cleaning inside
**Anchor Bolts** ❌ No ₦8k Yes, bolt to floor – 380kg + vibration
*Add auto drain ₦25k – Saves you draining manual daily.*
### *Installation Setup – Correct Order*
`Compressor (20HP screw) → 1 inch hose 2m → 1000L Tank Inlet Bottom → Tank Outlet Top → Dryer → 3-stage Filter → Factory Loop`
1. *Inlet bottom, outlet top*: Water stays bottom, dry air goes top to dryer
2. *Distance*: Keep tank within 5m of compressor – Closer better
3. *Foundation*: Concrete slab 10cm + anchor bolts – Tank vibrates
4. *Safety valve test*: Pull ring weekly – Must hiss
5. *Drain*: Auto drain to bucket or outside. Tank holds 2-5L water per day in Lagos
### *Safety – Very Important*
1. *Never weld old tank*: 1000L @ 8 bar = bomb if welding bad. If rust inside, scrap it
2. *Pressure test*: New tank must have hydro test cert 1.5x working pressure – 16 bar tank tested at 24 bar
3. *Thickness*: Check nameplate – Must be 8mm minimum for 1000L 16 bar. 6mm is too thin
4. *Expiry*: Inspect every 3 years – Inside rust check via manhole
5. *Never exceed*: If tank is 10 bar rated, set compressor to 9 bar max. Not 10 bar
### *Maintenance*
1. *Daily/ Auto*: Drain water – Auto drain does it
2. *Weekly*: Check safety valve
3. *Monthly*: Open manhole, torch inside – If rust flakes, paint with epoxy
4. *Yearly*: Pressure gauge calibration
### *Key Tips Before Buying*
1. *16 bar, not 10 bar*: 10 bar tank = thin steel 6mm. 16 bar = 8mm thick,
2. *Manhole*: Must have 400mm manhole for cleaning. Without manhole, you can’t clean rust
3. *Weight check*: Real 1000L 16 bar = 320kg+. If seller says 1000L = 200kg, it’s 6mm fake – Will burst
4. *SON cert*: Ask for pressure vessel certificate. Customs seizes non-cert tanks sometimes
5. *Paint inside?*: Good tanks have anti-rust epoxy inside
Is your compressor 15HP or 20HP, and is it piston or screw? And do you have space for vertical 2.5m tall? I’ll tell you if 1000L is enough or you need 1500L so compressor doesn’t start-stop too much.
